Corporate Citizenship Reporting

Our Approach

This report provides an accurate and balanced account of Medtronic’s economic, social and environmental performance in the areas that are most relevant to our business.

In determining the content of this report, we took into account current Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines, public interest and expectations on key sustainability issues, and an internal analysis of the corporate citizenship issues most material to Medtronic. This report references performance indicators and other items from the GRI G3 Sustainability Reporting Guidelines as indicated in our GRI Index.

Medtronic published its first Corporate Responsibility Report in 2008, with a commitment to report every two years. Beginning with our 2010 report, we are combining our Corporate Responsibility Report and Medtronic Foundation Annual Community Report into a web-based Corporate Citizenship Report, which will be issued annually.
