Established in 1979, Medtronic has been directly represented in India for nearly 30 years, and all its businesses have sales, marketing and customer service operations. The Medtronic India operations are headquartered in Mumbai and are supported through 9 regional offices namely in Delhi, Baroda, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Kochi, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. Its business region extends to South Asia i.e. Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal.
The company employs more than 130 people in India and is supported by over 100 distributors – trained by Medtronic India – all are committed to extend access to our products and therapies across the country.
Our main business focus is in the field of managing cardiac diseases with its Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management & Cardiovascular business units. Other businesses include Spinal and Biologics, Neuromodulation, Diabetes, and Ear Nose & Throat (ENT).
Medtronic Clinical, Technical and Education group have strong relations with the Indian Heart Rhythm Society (IHRS) and the Indian Society for Electrophysiology (ISE) to ensure continued training and education. The Company is equipped to handle both local and international studies in Clinical research in the areas of Cardiac Rhythm Disease Management and Coronary Artery Disease.
As part of the training and education initiatives, the Chennai facility combines a Medtronic standard advanced Therapy & Procedure Training Centre (TPTC), through a Virtual Cathlab to accelerate therapy adoption and quality of therapy delivery. Simultaneously, structured training programs through Continuous Medical Education (CME) therapy summits to increase the number of skilled implanters are regularly organized.
