Diversity: Recruiting and Retention

We need unique insights and innovative ideas to further our vision. We continually seek the brightest minds and develop the skills of our diverse employees.

Professional Networks

We have longstanding partnerships with outstanding professional groups, including the National Black MBA Association, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, National Sales Network, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, and Black Data Processors Association. We also are a leader in supporting the local and national Business Leadership Network, which promotes hiring and developing people with disabilities.

Campus Recruiting

The Office of Workplace Inclusion partners with the Medtronic Targeted Schools Department to grow strong relationships with key campus organizations like the Minority Engineering Program, Student Disability Offices, and student chapters of professional associations. These relationships and on-campus events allow us to connect with highly qualified, diverse candidates to grow our workforce of talented and passionate professionals. To learn more and see a list of our key engineering and business schools, go to Student Opportunities.

Retaining Diverse Talent

Retaining diverse talent is a business imperative for Medtronic. We connect employees with similar interests using internal professional networks, including Medtronic chapters of Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, National Society of Hispanic MBAs, National Black MBA Association, and Black Data Processors Association. These internal networks provide developmental opportunities for employees, an established network of colleagues with similar professional interests, and an avenue for suggestions on how to improve our inclusive culture.
