Coronary
The Coronary business makes technology that supports the interventional treatment of coronary artery disease to help improve blood flow through what was the blocked coronary artery and help patients get back to the activities they enjoy. The business makes stents, other guide wires, guide catheters, and balloon catheters for coronary angioplasty, as well as a drug-eluting stent, which is the first and only device of its kind to have an FDA-approved indication for treating the coronary artery disease of patients with diabetes.

Balloon Angioplasty and Stenting

A coronary stent is a tiny, expandable mesh tube made of medical-grade stainless steel or cobalt alloy metal. The stent is mounted onto a tiny balloon that is opened inside a coronary artery to push back plaque and restore blood flow.
Some of our stents are drug-eluting. That means in addition to providing structural support to the coronary artery, they also have a medicated coating to help prevent the vessel from renarrowing.
