Become an Ambassador
Finding relief is often a journey. For some people, being able to talk with a Medtronic Ambassador is really helpful, especially as they consider a Medtronic therapy as a treatment option.
Our Ambassador Program connects individuals who are considering a Medtronic therapy with people who are living with a Medtronic therapy and are willing to volunteer their time to share their experience.
By becoming an ambassador, you'll have the chance to help people on their journey to find relief.
Here's how the program works:
- When Medtronic receives a request, the request and contact information is forwarded to the best-matching ambassador. Medtronic informs requestors that an ambassador will contact them within 3 days.
- Ambassadors are asked to check their email daily to ensure a timely response to requests from people considering the therapy to speak to an ambassador. Typically it takes a couple of hours per week to check emails and make phone calls.
- Individuals are encouraged to ask questions similar but not limited to:
- At what point, did you decide that it was the right time for this therapy?
- How did you know this was the right option for you?
- What was surgery like?
- How did you feel after surgery?
- Would you do it again?
Ambassadors should not offer medical advice or technical support. They only share their personal experience with receiving a Medtronic therapy.
To become an ambassador, you'll need to meet the following requirements:
- Been receiving a Medtronic therapy for more than 6 months
- Have Internet, email, and telephone access
- Be able to respond to patient requests within 72 hours
- Can dedicate a few hours per week to the Ambassador Program
Becoming an ambassador is a two-step process. The first step is to complete the Medtronic Ambassador Application Form. Then, within 2 weeks, we will contact you to discuss your experience with the therapy and confirm that you meet all program requirements.
