It is the policy of Medtronic to provide equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all persons regardless of age, color, national origin, citizenship status, physical or mental disability, race, religion, creed, gender, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, genetic information, marital status, status with regard to public assistance, veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law. Responsibility 

Carol Surface, Senior Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer, and her designee, Paul Connolly, Vice President, Human Resources Operations, Processes, Quality and Compliance are responsible for leading Medtronic's affirmative action efforts and ensuring that the principle of equal employment opportunity is understood and followed. The HR head for each Medtronic establishment is responsible for local affirmative action efforts. All members of management must be familiar with this policy, must fully support it, and are responsible for applying these principles in good faith. All employees are responsible for conduct consistent with Medtronic's EEO Policy and are expected to demonstrate respect for all co-workers.

Medtronic posts this statement to inform applicants and employees of Medtronic's commitment to equal opportunity in employment. The Affirmative Action Plans for: Women and Minorities; Individuals with Disabilities; and Protected Veterans are located in local HR offices and may be reviewed by applicants and employees on weekdays during normal working hours.

Beware of fraudulent job postings from people claiming to be recruiters for Medtronic.

We are aware of job postings being made by people who claim to be recruiters for Medtronic, even using Medtronic employee names, but who are in no way affiliated with Medtronic. We have also been made aware of people posing as Medtronic recruiters and making contact about job opportunities and extending job offers via text message, instant message or chat rooms. These job postings and offers are fraudulent.

Beware of recruiters that ask candidates to submit unusual personal information like bank statements or utility bills, pay a fee in order to be considered for a job, or pay "start-up expenses" after being hired. Medtronic does not require candidates to make any type of payment to them as part of the recruitment process or job offer. The Federal Trade Commission, the United States' consumer protection agency, has online resources for detecting job scams.

Positions posted on the Medtronic.com Careers site are legitimate. If you find a Medtronic posting on a site other than our careers site, verify its legitimacy before applying by visiting the Career Opportunities section of our site and searching for the requisition number.

If you think you have responded to a fraudulent job posting or been a victim of this scam, you are encouraged to report it to your local law enforcement and to the Internet Crime Complaint Center for further investigation.
