Low prime volume
39 mL prime volume means less hemodilution for your patients

Higher maximum flow rate offers greater patient flexibility
The AFFINITY® Pediatric Arterial Filter’s maximum recommended flow rate of 3.2 L/min exceeds that of competing pediatric arterial filters. A higher maximum flow rate allows the filter to be used for a wider range of patient sizes. Its robust design handles the increased flow often needed at the end of case.

Optimal filtration
Effective filtration is provided by a 30 micron concentric folded screen design that maximizes the available filtration surface area within a smaller filter housing.

Ease of prime, efficient air handling and excellent visibility
The AFFINITY® Pediatric Arterial Filter has been designed to have no “hidden areas,” such as opaque screen caps or urethane pleating and netting where air and particulate can become trapped. Horizontal surfaces are reduced for minimal bubble hang-up. The filter housing is completely clear for excellent visibility. The filter may be either gravity or pump primed.

Carmeda® BioActive Surface for thromboresistance and biocompatibility
The AFFINITY® Pediatric Arterial Filter is available bonded with Carmeda® BioActive Surface. This non-leaching End Point Attached heparin biosurface mimics critical characteristics of the vascular endothelium to provide thromboresistance and biocompatibility. (Optional)

Lower pressure drop
Just 30 mmHg pressure drop at maximum flow rate of 3.2 L/min for gentle blood handling.
