The AFFINITY^® NT extends the AFFINITY^® tradition of consistent, efficient gas transfer due to patented radial flow design. The graduated bundle density design of the oxygenator maximizes gas transfer while blood shear, priming volume and blood side pressure drop are minimized.

Radial flow design eliminates the need to "force fit" bundle to case ensuring consistent performance. Proven PRF fiber has been added to the AFFINITY® NT for greater plasma resistance—up to 2.5 times longer than the standard fiber according to test data on file at Medtronic. Even more surface area has been built into the heat exchanger to deliver high performance with minimal pressure drop.
