Cardiopulmonary Bypass Support for Any Situation

Anytime, anywhere, the PBS^® System is designed to address critical situations. From the emergency room to the cath lab, the PBS^® System enables the clinician to precisely control patient treatment options before and during procedures, including patient blood gases, rapid heating/cooling, minimal hemodilution, and hemostasis management. With the PBS^® System, on-site cardiopulmonary bypass support can be provided wherever it's needed.

These key components make the PBS^® System versatile enough to fit most protocols without compromise:

• Bio-Console^® 560 Pump Speed Controller provides a control and monitoring system for the Bio-Pump^® centrifugal blood pump
• Bio-Cal^® Blood Temperature Controller includes microprocessor controls for safety and reliability, allowing rapid cool-down or warm-up for all treatment options
• ACT^® Plus Automated Coagulation Timer allows on-site hemostasis management decisions
• External Drive Motor powers the Bio-Pump^® Blood Pump at a convenient, tethered location
• A Sechrist* Oxygen/Air Mixer provides precise control of blood gases

The PBS^® System is available with either a wood laminate cart or a durable stainless steel cart. Both provide "go anywhere" flexibility of the complete unit in the OR, ER, cath lab, or emergency transport situations. Battery backup maintains power during emergencies or patient transport. Large storage compartments in both cart designs hold disposables and other supplies.
