Freestyle® Aortic Root Bioprosthesis

Physiologic Fixation™* Process

The Freestyle bioprosthesis utilizes a unique tissue-preservation process called Physiologic Fixation. While the aortic root is pressurized to maintain its natural anatomical shape, the leaflets have a zero net differential, leaving them in a relaxed position.

Physiologic Fixation Process

Simultaneously applying pressure to the inflow and outflow portions of a porcine bioprosthesis allows the leaflets to float freely at zero-pressure differential within a pressurized root.

*No clinical data are available that evaluate the long-term impact of the Physiologic Fixation process in patients.
