Hancock® II Aortic and Mitral Bioprostheses
Time to Compare Hancock® II and Carpentier-Edwards® Perimount® Valves in the Aortic Position
There have not yet been any long-term studies published that compare the Medtronic Hancock® II porcine and Carpentier-Edwards® Perimount® valves in the same institution. Two large clinical studies, one following Hancock II patients and one following CEP patients, have a maximum follow-up period of 15 years. Comparisons can be made for the following:
