Hancock® II Aortic and Mitral Bioprostheses
Stent Design
The stent for the Hancock II bioprosthesis is fabricated using an acetal homopolymer, which allows for a thinner stent wall so that a larger valve may be mounted. The design of the stent reduces stress on tissue during valve closure while maintaining controlled flexibility1.
A flexible stent may reduce stress on the valve tissue and the associated calcification possibility2.
Reduced Profile
The Hancock® II stent is designed to provide a lower implant profile than the previous Hancock models across all sizes. To further enhance sizing advantages, the sewing cuff on the Hancock II bioprosthesis is reduced from previous models.
