Joined Medtronic: 1999

Previous job: I was with a medical device company that Medtronic acquired. With that, I have close to 16 years of service.

Your role: I lead the CardioVascular Supply Management organization with responsibility for developing and executing strategies around Strategic Sourcing, Technical Sourcing, and Supplier Development. I work with team members throughout the United States, Mexico, and Ireland, so I travel quite a bit and also get to exercise my virtual leadership skills.

Growth opportunities: I started my career in finance and accounting, then moved into Supply Chain with a promotional opportunity that leveraged my financial and analytical skills, as well as my strong background in planning, negotiations, distribution, and import/export. I also was a member of a Site Leadership team and the Medtronic Supply Council. This gave me a nice mix of site responsibilities, as well as exposure and impact to the larger Medtronic organization.

How your work impacts patients: Our team has a direct impact on the company’s ability to produce products that meet or exceed our patients’ quality and service expectations, as well as achieve our financial objectives.

Greatest accomplishments: One of my most rewarding experiences is coaching and mentoring individuals who have worked for me over the years; it’s gratifying to see their careers progress. I’m also proud of my work on the Medtronic Supply Council, including our first company-wide Supplier Conference to leverage synergies across the company.

Education: Binghamton University, bachelor’s degree in Finance with minor in French (included semester at Sorbonne University in Paris)
Bentley University, MBA

Professional affiliations: American Production and Inventory Control Society; Institute of Management Accountant; Board of Directors for MassMEDIC, an association of medical device manufacturers in Massachusetts

What you do for fun: I enjoy outdoor activities with my husband and 10-year-old daughter. We like to swim, downhill ski, golf, and walk our two dogs.

Where should employees new to the Boston area go: The Union Oyster House. It’s the oldest restaurant in continuous service in the United States.
