Bob White is executive vice president and president, Minimally Invasive Therapies Group for Medtronic. Based in Boulder, Colorado, he is a member of the Medtronic Executive Committee.
Until December 2017, Bob was senior vice president and president of Medtronic Asia Pacific based in Singapore. Under Bob’s leadership and collaborative approach, Asia Pacific became one of the fastest growing regions within Medtronic – demonstrating a commitment to supporting healthcare systems through meaningful innovation, global access, and aligning value. Bob is invigorated by the opportunities for Medtronic to contribute to improving the lives of millions of patients around the world through the transformation of healthcare delivery.
Bob also believes in empowering employees at all levels of the organization to play an active role in fulfilling the Medtronic Mission. In 2015, following the Medtronic acquisition of Covidien, Bob successfully led the integration of the two companies across Australia and New Zealand, Southeast Asia, Indian Sub-Continent, South Korea, and Japan. Over 5,000 employees were brought together as one team to deliver technology, services, and solutions to support healthcare providers in both developed and emerging markets.
Previously, Bob has served as President, Emerging Markets, President, Respiratory and Monitoring Solutions, and Vice President and General Manager of Patient Monitoring at Covidien. He has also held leadership positions at GE Healthcare and IBM.
Bob is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) and serves on the board of the Asia Pacific Medical Technology Association (APACMed). He was also formerly on the boards of the US-ASEAN Business Council, the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF), and the National Patient Safety Foundation (NPSF).
Bob holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
