Consult Program Overview

Consult is the Medtronic internal contingent labor management service that:

• Delivers quality talent through efficient processes, enabled by our integrated technology (Workday VNDLY) and strategic staffing supplier partnerships.
• Manages compliance on cost and risk with the appropriate security, policies, and controls.
• Gathers and listens to business input and continuously engages in training and socialization to improve and innovate the program to provide stakeholder satisfaction.
• Negotiates and maintains Staffing Services Agreements with preferred staffing provider partners.
• Delivers reporting, market intelligence and end user guidance to help drive informed business decisions.

Consult Program Technology

Consult uses Workday VNDLY for its technology.

• Workday VNDLY receives daily and hourly data feeds from SAP (Finance) and Workday (HR) to keep the system updated with the most up to date manager hierarchies and valid cost center/WBS codes.
• Managers use the Workday VNDLY tool for sourcing contingent worker candidates from Medtronic approved suppliers as well as managing time and invoicing for workers.
• This is a self-service tool with advisory support from the Medtronic Consult Program Team
