Overview

Designed to support the annulus and maintain the repair, the Simulus™ semi-rigid ring and band accommodate annular flexion and leaflet curvature.

Indications

The Simulus semi-rigid annuloplasty ring and band are for use in patients undergoing surgery for diseased or damaged mitral valves. The Simulus semi-rigid annuloplasty ring and band provide support for and restrict expansion of the annulus.

Product Details

Shaped by Dynamic Annular Motion

The distinctive hybrid (saddle and flat) design enables the Simulus semi-rigid ring and band to take the shape of the annulus rising as a saddle in systole and flattening to a planar shape in diastole.1

Smooth braided polyester material accommodates annular flexion and leaflet curvature.2

The flexible anterior segment provides complete annular support while respecting the physiological motion of the aorto-mitral curtain.
