Overview

Setting new standards in minimally invasive surgery

It can be used for multiple instrument access, such as graspers, thermal energy devices and automated suturing devices.1 The SILS™ Port can accommodate instrument sizes of 5 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm and 15 mm.

The soft, flexible construction of the SILS™ Port enables:

  • Easy placement into the anal canal2
  • Maintained pneumorectum by conforming to the body2
  • Maximal manoeuvrability of instruments

Features

In addition, the SILS™ Port is fast and easy to set up and is a cost-effective alternative for transanal access.1

Transanal single-port microsurgery with the SILS™ Port is more comfortable for patients than transanal endoscopic microsurgery.

The pliable design and 30 mm diameter provides atraumatic transanal access, and protects their anorectal sphincter function.2

Single incision, single port, simple choice

Most abdominal and thoracic surgical procedures have been safely reproduced via laparoscopy. Working with the surgical community, we have created innovative solutions that have been fundamental to such surgical breakthroughs.

Patients are now aware of laparoscopy and its benefits, including, but not limited to, better clinical outcomes, less pain and improved aesthetics. Patients are now demanding less invasive techniques.

SILS™ procedures are revolutionising minimal access surgery. The SILS™ concept is to perform laparoscopic surgery through a small single incision, hidden in a site such as the umbilicus; therefore, it leaves no visible scar and reduces postoperative pain and other potential wound-related complications compared with multiple operative sites.

Minimally invasive for maximised benefits

Our SILS™ Port is an advanced multiple-access port, designed to enable laparoscopic surgery through a single incision.

The SILS™ Port can also be used in transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) as an alternative to transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM), providing the same benefits at a fraction of the cost.1

TAMIS is an effective tool for resection of both malignant and benign lesions of the rectum.1
