Surgilon™ braided nylon sutures are non-absorbable surgical sutures composed of the long-chain aliphatic polymers and Nylon 6.6.

The advanced extrusion process of the nylon molecule and the coating process give the suture:

  • A tight braid with a uniform diameter
  • Maximum flexibility of the strand

  • Excellent handling
  • Excellent and consistent knotting strength

Surgilon™ sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neural tissue.

Surgidac™ Polyester Sutures

Long Description:

Surgidac™ polyester sutures are non-absorbable, sterile surgical sutures composed of polyethylene terephthalate. The tight, uniform braid provides greater resistance to breaking, kink-free suture delivery, and easier needle arming and dispensing.

These sutures show high tensile strength, both linear and knotted, providing:

  • Maximum security in approximation of tissues under stress conditions
  • Permanent support (tensile strength is retained indefinitely)
  • Maximum security with prosthetic implants

Surgidac™ sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neural tissue.

Ti-Cron™ Braided Polyester Sutures

Long Description:

Ti-Cron™ polyester sutures are non-absorbable, sterile surgical sutures composed of polyethylene terephthalate. These braided sutures are available uncoated or coated uniformly with silicone to increase surface lubricity, enhancing handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue, and knot run-down properties.

These sutures show high tensile strength, both linear and knotted, providing:

  • Maximum security in approximation of tissues under stress conditions
  • Permanent support (tensile strength is retained indefinitely)
  • Maximum security with prosthetic implants

Ti-Cron™ sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neural tissue.

Surgipro™ Monofilament Sutures

Long Description:

Uncoated Surgipro™ sutures (clear or pigmented) are inert, non-absorbable, sterile sutures composed of an isotactic crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene (a synthetic linear polyolefin) and polyethylene.

The advanced extrusion process of the polypropylene molecule gives the suture:

  • Uniform diameter
  • Maximum flexibility of the strand
  • Excellent security with snug and flattened knots
  • Minimal memory and reduced “pig-tailing”
  • Consistent knotting strength

Surgipro™ polypropylene sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.

Novafil™ Monofilament Synthetic Polybutester Sutures

Long Description:

Novafil™ non-absorbable monofilament surgical sutures are composed of polybutester fiber, which gives the suture:

  • Suppleness and easy handling
  • Unique elasticity and flexibility
  • Excellent knot security
  • Less tissue drag and smooth knot run-down
  • Fray resistance
  • Unique resistance to creep and structural fatigue

Novafil™ sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation—including use in cardiovascular and ophthalmic surgery, but not in microsurgery and neural tissue.

Vascufil™ Monofilament Sutures

Long Description:

Vascufil™ coated, non-absorbable, monofilament surgical sutures are composed of polybutester fiber, which gives the suture:

  • Minimal memory
  • Less tissue drag and smooth knot run-down
  • Fray resistance
  • Easy handling

Vascufil™ sutures are indicated for use as non-absorbable sutures in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular and ophthalmic surgery, but not in microsurgery and neural tissue.

Sofsilk™ Silk Sutures

Long Description:

Sofsilk™ sutures are non-absorbable, sterile, non-mutagenic surgical sutures composed of natural proteinaceous silk fibers called fibroin. The braided sutures are available coated uniformly with either silicone or a special wax mixture to reduce capillarity and to increase surface lubricity, which enhances handling characteristics, ease of passage through tissue, and knot run-down properties.

The manufacturing process, from braiding to coating, gives the suture superior softness and compliance for maximum surgical handling. The proprietary coating process provides smooth flow through tissue while maintaining optimal knot security.

Sofsilk™ sutures are for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic, microsurgery, and neurological surgery.

Surgipro™ II Monofilament Sutures

Long Description:

Uncoated Surgipro™ II sutures (clear or pigmented) are inert, non-absorbable, sterile sutures composed of an isotactic, crystalline stereoisomer of polypropylene and contain polyethylene.

The advanced extrusion process of the polypropylene molecule gives the suture:

  • Uniform diameter
  • Maximum flexibility of the strand
  • Excellent security with snug and flattened knots
  • Minimal memory and reduced “pig-tailing”
  • Consistent knotting strength

Surgipro™ II sutures are indicated for use in general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation, including use in cardiovascular, ophthalmic and neurological surgery.

Steel Sutures

Long Description:

Stainless steel sutures are composed of 316L stainless steel conforming to ASTM Standard F138 Grade 2 “Stainless steel bar and wire for surgical implants”.

Steel sutures are the most inert among all suture materials and provide maximum tensile strength.

They are indicated for use in abdominal wound closure, intestinal anastomosis, hernia repair, sternal closure and also for certain orthopedic procedures (cerclage or tendon repair).
