Medicare ICD Registry Information
As part of the National Coverage Determination (NCD) for Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators (ICD), Medicare requires data collection for all patients indicated for primary prevention of sudden cardiac arrest who receive an ICD.
The American College of Cardiology’s National Cardiovascular Data Registry (ACC-NCDR™) satisfies the Medicare requirement for data collection. Data must be submitted into this ICD Registry as a condition of coverage for primary prevention patients.
For details on the Medicare data collection requirements, visit the Medicare website.
To access the ACC-NCDR™ ICD Registry, visit the National Cardiovascular Data Registry website, or contact the American College of Cardiology at (800) 257-4737 or e-mail NCDR@acc.org
