Q.  I applied to a Medtronic position through our campus career services but wasn’t selected to interview.  What options do I have?

A.  You are eligible for other opportunities within Medtronic and are welcome to apply for any of the positions posted on Medtronic’s web site.

Q.  I have already graduated and am interested in a position in the “College Programs” category of your website.  Can I apply?

A.  Because the positions found in the “College Programs” category are intended for current students, you should monitor our website and apply directly for other positions posted which match your interests, experience and expertise.

Q. Does Medtronic offer informational interviews?

A. Medtronic does not offer informational interviews. The company receives hundreds of requests for informational interviews each month. As a result, we encourage candidates who would like more information about Medtronic, our products and the types of positions available, to review information included on our website at www.medtronic.com. The interview process at Medtronic begins with the match of the skills identified on an applicant's resume to the requirements for a current job opening.

Q.  Does Medtronic offer internships?

A.  Each year Medtronic offers a limited number of summer internship opportunities primarily in the areas of computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, mechanical engineering marketing, finance, and human resources  depending on identified departmental needs.  Due to the nature of our industry and the complexity of our business, the majority of these roles are filled through structured campus recruiting programs at some of the top MBA and engineering schools across the nation.  Check with the career services at your school to see if any Medtronic locations will be visiting your campus, and continue to monitor our website for internship postings. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contacted.

Q. Will you sponsor foreign students?

A.  We do not discriminate based on citizenship, and look for the best and brightest to fill our positions.  Sponsorship of a new hire’s visa is not guaranteed; we address this on an individual basis once employment offers are extended.

Q. Why won’t you take my paper resume?

A.  Medtronic no longer accepts paper resumes. If you are interested in interviewing on campus, please apply online through your school’s career services office. Additional opportunities can be found in the job opportunities section of this website.
