Career Path within Medtronic
I joined the Strategy and Business Development Group in Patient Management full-time in August 2004 after interning with them the previous summer. |
Why did you join Medtronic?
I was initially drawn by the opportunity to combine my interest in technology with the career satisfaction offered by working in healthcare. I joined full-time after discovering that my entrepreneurial experience and interests did indeed fit well with this ‘big' company, and that Medtronic offered impressive opportunities for career growth and exploration – not the least of which is to learn from its many talented and motivated employees. |
How is Medtronic differentiated
from its competitors?
The astounding breath of life-saving therapies that Medtronic provides – the largest of any medical device company – is the obvious differentiating factor. Combine this diversity with considerable growth and you create an array of career options the equal of which is hard to find. |
What does Medtronic have
to offer to new college graduates?
The diversity of career options mentioned above is strongly complemented by active leadership programs, domestic and international opportunities, and a strong, mission-driven culture. In sum, talented graduates of all backgrounds can find a position that provides great challenge, career growth, and personal satisfaction. |
What are your other interests?
Travel, camping, snowboarding, windsurfing, design and architecture. |
