Spectrum Medical
Medtronic understands that perfusionists are continually challenged to improve the quality of care for patients while also improving hospital efficiencies. To assist you in meeting this need, Medtronic has made a minority investment in Spectrum Medical, an innovative company and supplier of diagnostic products compliance systems for cardiovascular perfusion and ECMO extracorporeal support. Through this partnership, we intend to support Spectrum Medical's efforts in establishing VIPER, a variable input patient electronic record and Vision, its database, as the solution of choice for perfusionists involved in cardiopulmonary bypass and ECMO. The partnership also provides for Medtronic's products, both current and future, to seamlessly interface with the VIPER/Vision system.
The open-architecture and Web-based system allows it to work with all manufacturers' products in the OR and allows you to generate an electronic chart utilizing compliance strategies, customized pre-sets, manually inputted data and data automatically downloaded from various devices in the clinical unit.
The electronic chart can then be stored in various locations, including the hospital information system. Charts may also be stored in the Vision online database and then queried and used to generate a range of management and compliance reports. The reports are tailored to meet the needs of each clinical program and can be re-designed at any time.
Additionally, Spectrum Medical's System M technology is the only line of diagnostic monitors for the perfusion and ECMO specialties that provides a wide range of critical care parameters non-invasively and in real-time. Using proprietary technology System M diagnostic monitors provide you with the confidence you need to make critical decisions based on real-time accurate information.
Spectrum Medical products are available by contacting them directly at (800) 265-2331.
