How the System Works
The Endurant II Stent Graft System treats infrarenal abdominal aortic or aorto-iliac aneurysms using an endovascular approach (EVAR). When placed within the aneurysm, the Endurant II Stent Graft provides a permanent, alternative conduit for blood flow within the patient's vasculature.
The stent graft system is comprised of two main components: the implantable Endurant II Stent Graft and the disposable Endurant II Delivery System. The stent graft is preloaded on the delivery system and advanced to the aneurysm using fluoroscopic guidance. Upon deployment, it self-expands to conform to the shape and size of the seal zones above and below the aneurysm.
- The Endurant II Stent Graft – has two main components: an aorto-iliac bifurcated component and a contralateral limb. Additional components include aortic extensions and iliac extensions.
- The Endurant II Delivery System – is a single-use, disposable catheter, with an integrated handle to provide accurate, controlled deployment. There are two types of Endurant II delivery systems: the Endurant II Aortic Delivery System, which delivers the bifurcated component and aortic extensions and the Endurant II Iliac Delivery System, which delivers the contralateral limb and iliac extension. The aortic delivery system features a tip capture mechanism, which is not present in the iliac delivery system.
