Anastomotic Devices

U-Clip® and Spyder® Anastomotic Devices offer an innovative, self-closing alternative to conventional sutures and clips.

Summary

U-Clip Anastomotic Device

The U-Clip® Anastomotic Device is designed to provide an alternative to conventional suture  in a variety of applications including anastomosis creation and tissue approximation. The device consists of a self-closing surgical clip attached to a conventional surgical needle by a flexible member.

U-Clip device placement is easy and requires only standard surgical instrumentation. The self-closing clip eliminates the requirement for knot-tying and suture management. A fresh, sharp needle is provided with each clip. The clip is easily removed.

Clinically…anastomosis optimized:

  • Increased lumen diameter
  • Improved compliance
  • Improved flow dynamics
  • Improved maturity/patency

Important Safety Information

Failure to follow instructions may contribute to intra-operative and postoperative failure of the anastomosis, attachment, or approximation, resulting in serioius patient injury.

Care should be exercised when removing clips, as tissue damage may occur.

Spyder Anastomotic Device

The Spyder® Anastomotic Device enables the creation of an automated proximal anastomotic connection by simultaneous delivery of 6 U-Clips without the use of a side-biting clamp or second manipulation of the aorta.

Important Safety Information

Failure to follow instructions may contribute to intra-operative and postoperative failure of the anastomosis, attachment, or approximation, resulting in serioius patient injury.

Use this device only at aortic locations where conventional anastomoses would be created. Ue this device only on aortic wall thicknesses of 1.5 – 4.0 mm.
