How It Works

CareLink Pro is part of the fully integrated CareLink platform that simplifies diabetes data management for you and your patients.

• Patients first upload data from their diabetes management devices to a secure online database using CareLink Personal, an easy-to-use web-based system
  (Note: data can also be uploaded directly to CareLink Pro in your office).
• Use CareLink Pro, a software program installed on your computer, to gain quick and easy access to your patients’ data. CareLink Pro reports can be viewed on-screen, printed, or saved to your computer.

• Therapy Management Dashboard: Provides a summary of key patient data including glucose control, insulin delivery, and patterns.*
• Episode Summary: Provides a summary of the events that preceded your patient’s hypoglycemic and hyperglycemic episodes and offers therapy considerations.*
• Adherence Report: Provides insights into your patient’s self-management behavior and helps confirm optimal device use.
• Sensor & Meter Overview Reports: Displays your patient’s sensor and meter glucose tracings to allow for quick identification of excursions and patterns.
• Logbook Report: Provides logbook information in an hour-by-hour format to help identify repeated patterns.
• Device Settings Snapshot: Displays insulin pump and sensor settings.
• Daily Detail Report: Displays pump, sensor, and blood glucose meter information from a specific day to provide insight on your patient’s glucose control, including response to carbohydrate intake and insulin use.

* Patients must have a minimum of 5 days of pump and sensor data to generate the Therapy Management Dashboard and Episode Summary.

Supported Devices

Insulin Pumps and Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) Systems

CareLink Pro is compatible with the full line of Medtronic insulin pumps. CareLink Pro works even better with CGM data, allowing you to fine-tune adjustments in ways not otherwise possible.

Blood Glucose Meters

In addition to our own BG meters, CareLink Pro supports other third-party devices:

Establish a plan with your healthcare professional for rapidly identifying and treating both hypoglycemia and hyperglycemia, to prevent the onset of DKA and possible hospitalization. Act quickly to respond to out-of-target blood glucose. Notify your healthcare professional of low blood glucose requiring assistance or of high blood glucose, or of an increased frequency in low or high blood glucose.
