Visibility is critically important in sinus surgery, and blood in the operative field is a significant concern. The MicroFrance® Vaughan Suction Sinus Instruments evacuate blood from the surgical site for optimal visibility in the most challenging areas of the sinuses, such as the sphenoid sinus and frontal recess. Some of the sinus instruments in this set include:
- Suction mushroom punches that are designed with the suction at the tip of the instrument
- A special cleaning tool that allows tissue to be removed quickly and safely during sinus surgery
- Suction picks that aid in the dissection of closed cells while evacuating blood
- Malleable suctions that can be bent and shaped during sinus surgery procedures to fit challenging anatomical constraints
