HeartRescue Project's Save-A-Life Simulator wins OMMA Best in Show
The HeartRescue Project Save-A-Life Simulator online experience won "Best in Show: Website Excellence" at MediaPost's 2012 OMMA Awards reception in New York, Monday, October 2.
Sponsored by the Medtronic Foundation, the nominated work, HeartRescue Project's Save-A-Life Simulator, is an immersive online experience promoting proper and timely bystander response to sudden cardiac arrest – the leading cause of death in America. The online experience helps take the fear and hesitation out of bystander response by providing clear, simple steps to help keep an SCA victim alive until professional help arrives. The simulator has had more than 3.5 million visits since airing in April 2012.
The HeartRescue Project Save-a-Life Simulator also won in the category of Charity/Non-Profit for Web Excellence. The OMMA Awards celebrate the year's best in online media, marketing and advertising. They are judged by MediaPost's staff and are among the most acclaimed in the digital creative industry.
