Improving the health of people with chronic disease

At Medtronic our commitment to ensuring that people receive quality healthcare is vital in a world where the human and economic impact of noncommunicable diseases continues to intensify. These chronic diseases accounted for an estimated 6 million deaths in 2008, 80 percent of which occured in low- to middle-income countries.

With expertise across a range of chronic illnesses, Medtronic has the ability to significantly decrease the number of lives affected by or lost to these conditions. The Medtronic Foundation supports these efforts through global health-related grant efforts.

Strengthening Health Systems

Expanding access to quality healthcare by strengthening health systems in developing countries, with a focus on and addressing the prevention, diagnosis and management of chronic, noncommunicable deseases.

HeartRescue

PatientLink

Partners with patient organizations around the world empowering individuals through awareness, education and advocacy to improve the lives of people at risk and living with chronic diseases.
