The Right Information
At The Right Time Can Help Save Lives

LIFENET System

When it comes to treating a heart attack, time is of the essence. To help emergency medical personnel treat patients more efficiently, we developed the LIFENET® System. It allows field-based emergency medical service (EMS) and hospital-based care teams to share and store critical patient data needed for quick decision-making. By coordinating information between the many parties, patients can be treated faster to help improve clinical outcomes and help save lives.

How It Works

LIFENET diagram

By connecting care teams and simplifying how they share data, our LIFENET System gives everyone involved relevant, real-time patient data.

Key Features
And Benefits

Field EMS teams can send data directly from monitor/defibrillators to hospitals
With our specially designed LIFEPAK® monitor/defibrillators, which capture heart rhythm data and vital signs as they're being used, medics on the scene can securely send the data directly from the defibrillator to awaiting hospital care teams. By having critical patient information early, the hospital can decide to either prepare the appropriate care teams or re-route the patient to another hospital for care—without an unnecessary stop at the referral hospital first.

Clinicians can consult remotely with EMS teams
Our LIFENET Consult iPhone® application allows clinicians to provide advice remotely to field medics and hospital staff to increase clinical efficiency.

EMS teams can share patient records electronically with hospitals
Field medics can securely send patient reports directly to a hospital printer or electronic medical record system for accurate and timely information sharing.

Benefit Summary

The LIFENET System helps EMS teams and hospitals share critical, real-time data about heart attack patients, so the patients can be treated faster and more efficiently.
