Authorized by Federal law (USA) for use in pediatric and adult patients with a regurgitant or stenotic Right Ventricular Outflow Tract (RVOT) conduit (≥ 16 mm in diameter when originally implanted). The effectiveness of this device for this use has not been demonstrated.
Many health insurance companies cover costs associated with Melody® Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve (TPV) Therapy. Be sure your doctor requests prior authorization and coverage from your insurance company before the procedure.
He or she will explain your symptoms and Melody TPV Therapy to the insurance company. You may also need to personally communicate with your insurance company.
