Atrial Capture Management™ (ACM)

Designed to periodically measure the atrial threshold and automatically ensure atrial pacing outputs remain at a safe level under changing patient conditions. This feature automatically provides long-term threshold trends and actively manages battery drain.*

Unlike Ventricular Capture Management, ACM does not use evoked response sensing to determine capture. It determines the threshold in much the same way one determines thresholds with manual testing, by pacing in the atrium and:

  • Observing whether the captured test paces reset the sinus node and the A-A interval timing of the underlying sinus rhythm (Atrial Chamber Reset Method)

  • OR

  • Observing the ventricular response to determine if the captured test paces conducted via the AV node (AV Conduction Method)

The EnPulse algorithm chooses the most appropriate method.

During the Rhythm Stability Check, if atrial sensed events are occuring (AS), the Atrial Capture Management algorithm will choose the Atrial Chamber Reset Method for conducting threshold measurements.

During the Rhythm Stability Check, if atrial sensing is not consistent, but the patient is conducting so that all ventricular sensed events are occurring at a PR-interval <296 ms, the Atrial Capture Management algorithm will choose the AV Conduction Method for conducting threshold measurements.
