CapSure Leads
- Over a million patients worldwide have benefited from the

- Steroid-elution technology reduces inflammation. By eluting
a steroid at the lead tip, Medtronic CapSure leads are designed to
reduce the typical tissue inflammation.
- Reduced inflammation allows lower pacing system energy requirements. By reducing tissue inflammation, CapSure leads allow the use of lower electrical settings for low, stable, acute and chronic energy outputs.
A Choice of Steroid-Eluting Pacing Leads.
To meet handling preferences, and to address the varying clinical needs of patients, a choice of lead models is available:
CapSure® Z Novus Steroid-Eluting, High-Efficiency Leads. Patented, 1.2 mm2 electrode increases impedance at the tip to efficiently deliver energy to the tissue. The leads have a thin lead body to accommodate small veins -- with the same proven CapSure efficiency.
CapSure® SP Novus Steroid-Eluting, Platinized Leads. The steroid-eluting technology along with platinization technology provides stable, low pacing thresholds, and a thin lead body.
CapSureFix® Novus Steroid-Eluting, Screw-In Lead. The helix extends easily for active fixation and retracts for venous passage. The 6 Fr. lead body also facilitates passage and positioning.
CapSure® Epi Steroid-Eluting, Epicardial
Leads. A porous electrode increases surface area for optimal
epicardial sensing. Its small size is acceptable for pediatric patients.
CapSure® VDD2 Steroid-Eluting Leads for
VDD Pacing. Steroid-eluting technology combines with atrial
sensing and ventricular pace and sense electrodes.
