“ I could go on and on about how the Medtronic CareLink Network improves clinic function and efficiency, but for me the most compelling argument comes from patients who request remote monitoring through the Medtronic CareLink Network. The more patients hear about the Medtronic CareLink Network, they more they demand it.”

Medtronic CareLink® Network with Conexus™ Wireless Telemetry

Conexus Wireless Telemetry for Medtronic's newest devices takes remote monitoring to the next level, paving the way to true cardiac disease management. The Medtronic CareLink Network with Conexus Wireless Telemetry offers automatic data transmissions and customizable alert notifications, new features to enable improved patient care.

More Compliance, More Convenience

With wireless device interrogation, routine follow-ups occur automatically while the patient sleeps, alleviating patient compliance issues. Using the Medtronic CareLink Clinician website, clinic staff can pre-schedule up to six automatic device checks for each patient, minimizing time spent rescheduling missed appointments and playing phone tag.

Prompt, Customizable Alerts

The patient's implanted device can be programmed to notify clinicians of alert conditions. If the device detects a potential problem, such as atrial fibrillation or a device integrity issue, it initiates a data transmission and a Medtronic CareAlertT notification via pager and/or voicemail. Physicians have flexibility and control in programming both wireless and audible device alerts and notification methods.

Reliable Wireless Telemetry

Medtronic does wireless the right way. Conexus Telemetry uses the Medical Implant Communications Service (MICS), a radio frequency band designated for implantable medical devices. The MICS band protects Medtronic's wireless transmissions from interference caused by cell phones or other common electronic devices.
