About Paceart

In December 2001, Medtronic acquired Paceart, bringing together the global leader in implantable cardiac devices with a worldwide leader in database systems for pacemakers, implantable defibrillators and arrhythmia management systems.

The Paceart System is a major component in Medtronic's strategy to provide post-implant solutions to help physicians better and more efficiently manage patients with cardiac arrhythmias and heart failure.

Paceart, located in Minneapolis, Minnesota, pioneered the concept of computerized follow up in 1986 and has since become the gold standard for clinical data management in cardiology.
