History of ICDs
Implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) have gone through significant technology advances in recent years. ICDs have been proven to prevent sudden cardiac death and recently have been shown to reduce all-cause mortality when compared to antiarrhythmic drug therapy. These advances have led to much greater acceptance of ICD therapy.
