7719C

The Model 7219C was the first device to incorporate Active Can technology, in which the device shell acts as a defibrillation electrode. The Active Can electrode dramatically reduced defibrillation energy requirements and permitted consistently high implant success with a single lead. The Model 7219C was also the smallest device of its time.
