Proven PR Logic™ Dual Chamber Detection

Introduced in the GEM DR device, PR Logic is a revolutionary detection algorithm that logically integrates rate detection with information about conduction patterns, regularity, and AV dissociation.

PR Logic is designed to maintain high sensitivity for ventricular tachyarrhythmias while improving discrimination for supraventricular tachycardias.

Proven Effective

Analysis from 1,092 spontaneous episodes with stored EGM data from patients in the GEM DR clinical study revealed:

• 100% of sustained VT/VF episodes were properly detected
• 92% of all episodes were properly classified
• 92.8% of all therapies delivered were appropriate (PPV—Positive Predictive Value)
  Note: If inappropriate therapies due to atrial oversensing/undersensing and non-optimal programming are eliminated, 94.8% of all therapies would have been appropriate.
• Over single-chamber rate-only detection, there was a 72% reduction of inappropriate detections* of SVT episodes.

*63% when adjusted for patients with multiple episodes.
