Full-Size Printing

The GEM II devices are the first to feature full-size printed reports. In addition to strip recording, the GEM II devices can output device, patient, and episode data to an external printer for easier record management.

EGM Amplitude

This feature automatically sets the EGM source to the proper near-field source for testing and restores the source once the test is completed.

Auto Resume Safety Feature

When an induction is delivered, the GEM II device automatically enables the suspended programmed therapies. This unique safety feature is new to the GEM II family.

New Patient Information Screen

This software feature — new to the GEM II family — allows a clinician to enter patient demographic and implant data into the memory of the ICD. To simplify follow-up or other visits, patient history, device and lead information, and key implant data can be recalled quickly. Patient name and identification number also appear on all printed reports.

Vision^® Software

Vision^® software's icon-based interface uses symbols, words, and color to improve navigation and make data interpretation easier. Some of its unique features include:

• Quick Look™ — A one-screen overview of most recent episodes, atypical programming parameters, battery and lead measurements, and charge time. With the QuickLink™ navigation feature, a summary of any type of episode can be retrieved by clicking on any highlighted episode.
• Interval Plot — A complete snapshot of an episode with individual V-V intervals displayed as single points on the plot. (GEM II DR also displays A-A intervals.)
• EGM Strip — Dual channel, high-fidelity EGM storage with Marker Channel™ telemetry and annotations. Choose either 12 minutes of dual-channel or 22 minutes of single-channel EGM storage.
• Flashback™ Memory — A detailed overview of arrhythmia onset. Up to 15 minutes of V-V intervals prior to detection for the most recent VT and VF episodes, and for the most recent episodes prior to interrogation. (GEM II DR also displays A-A intervals.)
