Medtronic leads are designed to be durable and reliable. Some of the unique features of the Sprint™ family of leads: extra lumens designed to withstand crush, highly efficient conductors, dual-connected defibrillation coils, and a patented silicone surface treatment that makes Sprint leads slippery and easy to implant.

To monitor the chronic reliability and performance of our leads, Medtronic publishes the Tachyarrhythmia Product Performance Report. This document contains chronic data on almost 9,000 Medtronic ICD leads through a prospective, long-term, multi-center study. (Available from a Medtronic representative.)
