GuardWire® Temporary Occlusion and Aspiration System

Delivering the Standard of Care

Product Photo: Guardwire Glamour

The GuardWire Temporary Occlusion and Aspiration System has demonstrated a reduction in cumulative MACE events following saphenous vein graft interventions.* Now this life-saving technology is easier to use, featuring the EZ Adaptor device, which works seamlessly with the EZ Flator inflation device. EZ Adaptor

With the EZ Adaptor device, just one turn of the knob clamps and seals the wire and opens the MicroSeal. The EZ Adaptor technology offers:

  • Fewer steps to simplify the procedure.
  • Simple wire placement.
  • Better stabilization during the procedure—
    for greater ease of use.
  • Easier wire loading.
GuardWire System Saves Lives

When compared to unprotected procedures, the SAFER*
Trial showed

Reduction in MACE, myocardial infarction, and mortality

GuardWire System Makes SVG SAFER

Reduces Risk

  • The ultra-low profile minimizes the risk of dislodging embolic debris while crossing friable plaque.
  • The ultra low-profile 0.028" GuardWire System provides access to tortuous vessels and tight lesions.
  • Kink-resistant Nitinol and proprietary helical design combine to give the GuardWire balloon wire the distal maneuverability and flexibility you'd expect from a guidewire.

Complete Occlusion Is the Best Solution

Balloon occlusion with aspiration maximizes particle containment and retrieval. In the SAFE Study:

  • 81 percent of all particles are under 96µ in size.
  • Particles removed in most clinical cases.
  • Fibrin, necrotic core, foam cells and cholesterol clefts were aspirated.

SAFE Study: SVG Particle Size Distribution - 81% of all particles were under 96 micro particle size
