Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association
The Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Association (HCMA) is a not for profit 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1996 to provide information, support and advocacy to patients, their families and medical providers.
The Objectives of the HCMA:
- Develop and maintain a network of support
- Promote education about symptoms and treatment options
- Heighten awareness and protect against sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and life-threatening arrhythmias
- Increase the number of, and access to, healthcare professionals providing treatment for hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM)
- Promote research of HCM
- Increase awareness about HCM.
