Ways to Easily Verify the Presence of a SureScan® Pacing System

Conditional MR use of the SureScan® Pacing Systems begins with confirming that a patient's device and leads are MR Conditional.

1. ID Card identifies patient as having a pacing system that is MR Conditional

2. Consult the patient records to verify only a Medtronic MR-conditional Pacing System (device and leads) constructed from the following components are implanted:

  • Medtronic MRI SureScan MRI pacemaker (models Advisa MRI™ A3DR01
  • Ensura MRI™ EN1DR01, EnRhythm MRI™ EMDR01)
  • Medtronic CapSureFix® 5086MRI leads (models: 5086-45, 5086-52, 5086-58)
  • Medtronic CapSure Sense MRI™ leads (models: 4574-45, 4574-53, 4074-52, 4074-58)

3. Confirm the following conditions have been met:

  • Implant> six weeks
  • Pectoral implant
  • Pacing Thresholds<2.0 V @ 0/4 ms
  • Lead impedance 200-1,500 ohms
  • No other devices, leads (including abandoned), adaptors or extenders present

4. Program MRI SureScan ON before the scan (OFF after the scan)

5. Patient ready to get an MRI scan
