Lumbar Degenerative Disc Disease
With some spinal fusion surgery, bone is first taken from your hip. Unfortunately, this requires an additional surgery with its own pain and risks. That’s why Medtronic developed Infuse® Bone Graft and the LT-Cage® Device. This innovative option fuses the spine with bone you regrow on your own, eliminating the need for an additional bone-harvesting surgery.
Infuse Bone Graft and the LT-Cage Device are designed to aid in the treatment of degenerative disc disease (DDD).
The product consists of two parts – a small, hollow, threaded, tapered metal cylinder (the LT-Cage Lumbar Tapered Fusion Device) and a bone graft substitute (Infuse Bone Graft).
Spinal surgery using Infuse Bone Graft with the LT-Cage Device has benefits to the patient. But like any surgery, it comes with risks as well.
We’ve put together some common questions and answers about Infuse Bone Graft and the LT-Cage Device.
