Living With Neurostimulation

You may be able to do things you were not able to do before with neurostimulation therapy — take long walks through the park, see movies at the theater, or travel. While it may take a while to adjust to the therapy, you should feel comfortable participating in the daily activities of living.

Remember: Even after you’ve made a full recovery from surgery and resumed your normal routine, it’s important to stay in touch with your doctor about any questions or concerns you have.

Product Support

If you have questions about your neurostimulation therapy, contact your doctor or consult the following information and literature.

Patient Brochures

These brochures provide information for people considering neurostimulation. You can request more information online.

User Manual

This manual is given to individuals when they receive neurostimulation therapy.

Common Concerns

Some people report feeling worried because they don’t feel stimulation all the time. Your doctor may have programmed your neurostimulation to "cycle” (turn on and off at regular intervals). As long as your symptoms are under control, don’t worry if you can’t feel constant stimulation.

If you have questions about your neurostimulation therapy, or if your bladder control symptoms return, call your doctor.
