This section reviews set up for the MyCareLInk Heart Mobile App. Set up is the same for all devices. Patients can visit MCLHeart.com to download set up guides.
To use the app for monitoring and to view select data, the patient needs to be enrolled in the Medtronic CareLink™ Network and complete these two steps:
1. Pair the app and the heart device.
2. Verify the patients email.
If using app for the first time, click on "Sign Up." Return users click "Log In."
Have the device serial number ready.
Select geography.
Enter patient's first and last name.
Enter email and password.
Note: Patient or caregiver email can be used
Enter serial number of device.
Wait in-range for 3-6 min. If this phase is interrupted, the patient will need to start over.
To use the app, patients will also need to verify their email.
Go to email inbox, open email from Medtronic and click on VERIFY EMAIL link.
Verify email address by entering email and password used to create the account.
The email is verified. Once enrolled in CareLink, the patient will be able to use the app.
The app will display this screen until enrollment is complete.
Once successfully enrolled in the CareLink Network by the follow up clinic, the patient will have access to the enabled mobile app features.

The following additional steps may be required to complete set up of the patient app for some Android devices.
Some Android devices require location services turned on to support connectivity to the app.
Allow the Android device to stop optimizing battery usage to keep the app running in the background when it is not actively in use.
