Οι μετεγχειρητικές κοιλιοκήλες είναι μια κλινικά οριζόμενη πάθηση που

  • αναπτύσσεται μετά από ένα χειρουργικό τραύμα στο κοιλιακό τοίχωμα, συμπεριλαμβανομένων των υποτροπών μετά την αποκατάσταση των πρωτογενών κοιλιοκηλών.
  • Επίσης, προκύπτουν από διάνοιξη του κοιλιακού τοιχώματος, πλήρη ή μερική, εντός 30 ημερών μετά τη χειρουργική επέμβαση.
  • Ή κατά τη δημιουργία κολοστομίας, ειλεοστομίας ή ουρητηρο-ειλεοδερµοστοµίας μέσω του κοιλιακού τοιχώματος.
