Dr. Ahmad S. Ashrafi leads the field in thoracic surgery. He currently serves as the Regional Division Head for Thoracic Surgery in Fraser Health Authority, where he established and introduced advanced minimally invasive thoracic and Foregut surgery. He has presented his work on Minimally Invasive Esophagectomy both nationally and internationally. He is a Clinical Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of British Columbia and has mentored surgeons in learning MIE. His commitment to education led him to design this teaching program.
