Overview

This webinar will review the current guidelines and best practice recommendations for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) through presentation of clinical cases of patients with reflux symptoms.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this educational activity, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss when a trial of PPI therapy is appropriate for patients with reflux symptoms
  • Identify scenarios when objective testing is needed to evaluate for GERD
  • Utilize data from reflux monitoring to guide a phenotype treatment approach for GERD
  • Recognize the role of esophageal hypersensitivity and hypervigilance on symptom burden
