Overview
The Standards for Capnography during ACLS continuing education activity has been planned and written for nurses and respiratory care professionals. It will focus on the basics of capnography monitoring and applications of capnography in airway management and CPR. Specifically, American Heart Association (AHA) guidelines recommendations for the use of capnography and end-tidal CO2 monitoring during ACLS to verify endotracheal tube placement, monitor the effectiveness of CPR, and to identify return of spontaneous circulation during CPR, improving patient safety and clinical outcomes will be discussed.
