Some household appliances that have motors or generate electromagnetic energy fields could interfere with a heart monitor. A person with an ICM or loop recorder should keep an electric mixer at least six inches (or 15 cm) away from their heart monitor. Check with the ICM's manufacturer to confirm any additional restrictions.
